Wow - I definitely remember some annoying dude named The_Hunter - was that you?  ;D (jk about the annoying part :P) Haha, it's been forever.  Nice seeing you again!

Yeah, not too many people online nowadays unfortunately.  I remember trying to get some games going last summer to revive this thing (both AOE3 and AOM) but it's pretty empty now.

I too have been playing the online beta, but I was brought in quite a while ago, around New Years  ;). If I understood script at all, I would try to make something when they come out with any ability to create custom maps or scenarios, but unfortunately I do not understand it...

Over all, the game is fun, but it's not as great as Age of Empires 3 or AOM.

ES was shut down unfortunately.  Halo wars was their last game I'm pretty sure.

I really miss AOE and AOM lol

Holy crap.

I remember I used to be a part of the old norsewars  site.

Don't ask me why but I was going through my (very old) favorites list looking for a certain site that had some great concept artists (I'm currently working on a futuristic first person shooter with a group of 40+ and we need to find some more inspiration)  And i stumbled upon the old  norsewars site and with a little extra searching ended up here.

I don't remember what my user name was back then.  It's been so long haha.  The_Hunter? maybe?  Don't know- ever since i started producing music its always been Trauma Hunter.

I am now totally craving some fort wars.  Will have to go see if people still play it (i hope!)

Yeah I'm hoping they find their way back.  I haven't been able to talk Mike into giving me the old database to restore though but if he ever sends it to me, I'll set up the old NW site back the way it was.

Something has to be done. It's too strong. Impossible to counter without using it back.

The only way I can think to make it more fair without getting rid of it would be to damage all of the players units when it's used. 50% should do it (although I know it's tough to damage units with a percentage instead of a solid number). That or trickle the damage 4% every second for the 15 seconds of it.

AoE3 will never stop lagging. I don't think it's a major issue, you can't see most of the water anyways.

For the Japanese Monks, it's not technically one-shot kill, just like the euro explorer shot thing isn't technically one-shot kill, it is more like a critical hit that does a lot of damage. Super Units may actually survive.

As for China, unless you want to try copying the Banner armies, so for the unit you select to spawn, you get 2 different units instead of the one. That would spice things up a bit.
